The website is a collection of web pages. On pages, you post your content. It can be related to business, personal ideas or views or about anything. The content can also be in any form like text, images or videos. It is basically your identity in the online world. The domain name you choose for your website is like your address.
The website is accessible through the internet. The website can have a particular motive for example to promote business, government sites, personal blogging, organization sites and, etc. You can choose to maintain a website for any motive with any type of content.
The sites have a worldwide network of traffic (people). They can easily promote you or your business at the national and international levels. They are cheap and effective. With a good range of content, you can influence people worldwide. It is also a good source of earning.
You have to purchase a name for your site to help your viewers to locate it. The name is called ‘domain name’. you can get it from the web hosting sites such as GoDaddy or Bluehost. The cost of domain will vary according to plan (one or two) and service. (domain must be relevant to your website category).

Now let’s move towards.
TYPES OF WEBSITE
There are two types of website
The website has a fixed content and structure. It is written in HTML (hypertext markup language). The website shows the fixed type structure unless the operator will not make a change in it.
The static website requires basic knowledge of coding and programming because you have to use coding to give any changing to the page. Every page will be saved separately due to the fixed coding for each page.
For example, if you are creating 10 posts then you must create it on 10 separate pages. It will only be changed if you command it by coding.
The static website can also run with cascading style sheets to customize the appearance of the site.
Advantages of static website
- Easy to develop. Mostly if you know about the basic coding.
- Cost-effective hosting.
- Not requires high developing cost because you need coding to customize.
Disadvantages of static website
- Apparently, if you don’t know about programming, it will be tough to organize and update.
- Not very useful for users like bloggers.
- Updates and changes take a lot of time. I am sure coders can relate.
The website type is clearing itself by its name “dynamic” means change.
The dynamic website does not contain a fixed structure and coding unlike static. It customizes and updates itself regularly according to the content and pages. The website is not primarily coded in HTML. The pages of the website are not separately maintained. They can be changed, update anytime.
Furthermore, In this type user not required to have coding knowledge as it is inbuilt customized features. The dynamic website maintains a database where all the data is stored related to the website. Changes in the database will lead to change in the website.
This type of website gets access to its database first before presenting the results of the site. The website has a CMS (content management system) which brings all the required changes to the content and posts without any coding. It has plugins that do all the work of coding.
Advantages of dynamic website
- Inbuilt programming and customization features. It does not need to be a professional programmer. CMS platforms do most of the work.
- Write, manage and update new content anytime without programming. It helps to generate traffic because of unique content.
- More functional website. It can add new pages without separating them.
Disadvantages of dynamic website
- Slower to develop while it includes vast functions.
- Hosting is not very cost-effective.
- Expensive to manage as compared to the static website.
